Day 1  :  UMBWE GATE (1,600 METERS) TO UMBWE CAVE CAMP (2,850 METERS)


Distance: 10.5km Hiking Time: 5-7 hours Habitat: Rainforest Start your journey after breakfast at the Umbwe Gate. Follow the forestry track through the lush rainforest, with the path becoming steeper between the Lonzo and Umbwe Rivers. Your camp at Umbwe Cave waits, nestled among tall trees and dense undergrowth. Tents will be ready, and dinner served in the mess tent.

    Day 2  :  UMBWE CAVE CAMP (2,850 METERS) TO BARRANCO CAMP (3,900 METERS)


    Distance: 6.5km Hiking Time: 4-6 hours Habitat: Rainforest / Low Alpine Zone Set off after an early breakfast, hiking through the rainforest towards the moorland, where you'll encounter rocky outcrops and sparse vegetation. The path gets steeper as you leave the forest and reach the Umbwe ridge, before descending slightly to Barranco camp, nestled in a valley.

    Day 3  :  BARRANCO CAMP ROCKY HIKE UP TO KARANGA CAMP


    Today, we'll hike 6km in 4-6 hours from Barranco Camp (3,900 meters) to Karanga Camp (3,960 meters). The highlight is conquering the 257-meter Barranco Wall, a rocky hike that requires all four limbs. Afterwards, we'll hike through the Southern Circuit, crossing the Karanga Valley to reach Karanga Camp.

    Day 4  :  KARANGA CAMP TO BARAFU CAMP KILIMANJARO HIKE


    A short 3.5km hike in 4-5 hours takes us from Karanga Camp (3,960 meters) to Barafu Camp (4,670 meters). Be prepared for strong winds at Barafu, a camp exposed to the elements. Rest and prepare early, as tonight is our summit attempt.

    Day 5  :  CHALLENGE HIKE FROM BARAFU CAMP TO UHURU PEAK AND MWEKA CAMP


    Today's challenging hike of 4.5km in 6-8 hours begins at 23:30 from Barafu Camp. We'll ascend the slopes of Kibo and reach Stella Point (5,739 meters) at dawn. After a brief rest, we'll push on to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters). Then, we descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) through the glacial and preceding zones.

    Day 6  :  FINALLY HIKE FROM MWEKA CAMP TO MWEKA GATE


    In the morning, we'll hike 9km in 3-5 hours down through the rainforest from Mweka Camp (3,100 meters) to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters). At the gate, you'll receive your Uhuru Peak certificate and have the chance to tip the hiking crew before being transported back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
